The high-output version in the Q60 RED SPORT 400 delivers 400 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 350 lb-ft of maximum torque between 1,600-5,200 rpm. The version used in the Q60 3.0t PURE and Q60 3.0t LUXE models produces 300 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 295 lb-ft of torque within the same 1,600-5,200 rpm range.
The 3.0-liter VR V6 engine incorporates several innovative technologies to deliver the Q60’s engaging driving experience. Key among these is a direct-injection gasoline fueling system. This high-pressure system allows for precise fuel injection directly into the combustion chamber, delivering the exact amount of fuel needed for smooth acceleration based on throttle position and engine speed. The turbo speed sensor on the 400-horsepower version contributes to producing up to 30 percent more power. Boost pressure is 14.7 psi for the 400-horsepower version, compared to 9.5 psi for the 300-horsepower version. Both engine versions also feature a water-cooled intercooler system to further enhance performance and efficiency, rapidly cooling the air entering the twin-turbo system to reduce turbo lag and enable quicker acceleration.

The all-wheel drive system enhances stability, providing greater road holding in low-grip conditions by distributing torque 50:50 between the front and rear wheels in its default setting.
