Support channels beneath the main traffic area further reinforce the structure, ensuring it can handle heavy vehicle loads with ease. The traffic opening is a spacious 100” wide, accommodating a variety of vehicle sizes, and is bordered by full-length handrails on both sides to ensure pedestrian safety. The undercarriage mirrors this ruggedness, constructed from the same heavy-duty channels and mounted on four rear and two front 10-ply high flotation tires, providing superior stability and weight distribution. With an overall length of 84’, the auto ramp is carefully designed with a maximum 4-degree concave angle change to smoothly accommodate the low ground clearance of modern vehicles, preventing damage and ensuring efficient vehicle handling.
Smooth and Precise Auto Ramp Operation
The approach and departure ramps, along with the bridge plates, are hydraulically controlled, ensuring smooth and precise movements. Flow control valves are integrated into the hydraulic system to regulate raising and lowering speeds, preventing jerky motions and providing operators with enhanced control. For maximum stability during operation, four independently operated hydraulic stabilizers are welded to the outer frame. These stabilizers are crucial for maintaining a level and secure platform when the auto ramp is in use, especially under heavy loads or on uneven surfaces. An intelligent safety system is incorporated with limit switches mounted on both the stabilizers and the approach/departure ramps. These switches activate a green indicator light on the operator console when all stabilizers and ramps are correctly positioned for travel. This visual confirmation ensures the unit is safely stowed and ready for movement, minimizing risks and enhancing operational safety protocols.

The standard auto ramp model is powered by a robust four-cylinder, industrial-duty diesel engine, chosen for its reliability and performance in demanding applications. These engines are equipped with essential safety features, including low oil pressure and high temperature shutdown gauges, protecting against potential engine damage and ensuring long-term durability. To facilitate operation in cold climates, a plug-in block heater is included, aiding in reliable engine starts even in freezing temperatures. This ensures consistent performance and minimizes downtime, regardless of environmental conditions.
Durable and Protective Auto Ramp Finish
To ensure longevity and resistance to harsh industrial environments, all mild steel surfaces of the auto ramp undergo a thorough sandblasting process to achieve an SP-6 commercial gray-white finish. This prepared surface is then coated with a substantial 8-10 mils of VOC compliant polyamide adduct high build epoxy. This premium coating provides exceptional durability and protection against a wide range of corrosive substances, including fumes, mild acids, alkalis, salts, and solvents. The auto ramp is painted in a highly visible safety-yellow color, enhancing its visibility in busy industrial settings. Red markings are strategically applied to the approach ramp and bridge plates to further improve safety and awareness.
