How the Challenge Works
Households that qualify for the “One Car Challenge” will receive a weekly financial incentive for committing to using only one vehicle throughout the challenge duration. Participants can earn up to $119.80 each week, culminating in a total of $599 per household over the five-week program. Imagine the possibilities with this extra income at your disposal!
Who is Eligible to Participate?
To be considered for this unique opportunity, Santa Monica residents must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
- Multiple Vehicle Ownership: Your household must possess two (2) or more vehicles.
- Minimum Age: Participants must be at least 21 years of age.

Participants will receive a complimentary TAP card pre-loaded with a $50 value, enabling seamless travel on Big Blue Bus. A single Big Blue Bus ride costs just $1.10 when using a TAP card. Furthermore, you’ll be granted five to ten complimentary rides on the Metro Bike Share program, encouraging the exploration of eco-friendly and health-promoting commuting alternatives.
