Genesis has once again chosen the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, as the stage to showcase its innovative spirit, presenting the GV60 Mountain Intervention Vehicle (MIV) Concept this week. This reveal marks the third consecutive year a Genesis Vehicle concept has been displayed at Davos, underscoring the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries in automotive design and technology. Following the Genesis X Concept in 2023 and the Genesis X Snow Speedium Concept in 2024, the GV60 MIV Concept is currently captivating attendees at the AMERON Davos Swiss Mountain Resort since January 20th, near the main WEF venue.
This year’s concept, the GV60 MIV, is specifically engineered for critical rescue and support missions in challenging terrains and adverse weather conditions. As a purpose-built electric vehicle (EV), it draws inspiration from small unit support vehicles (SUSVs) and is based on the Genesis GV60. The GV60 MIV is designed to deliver exceptional off-road capabilities while minimizing environmental impact thanks to its electric powertrain, which also ensures silent operation, reducing noise pollution. A key feature is its vehicle-to-load (V2L) system, providing a mobile power source for essential auxiliary equipment in remote locations.
The GV60 Mountain Intervention Vehicle Concept is equipped with a range of high-quality, durable accessories selected for demanding rescue operations. These include snow tracks for superior traction in icy and snowy conditions, performance-focused sports seats for occupant stability, essential medical supplies, and advanced emergency communication and warning systems. Large carbon fiber fender flares are incorporated to protect both the vehicle and bystanders, enhancing safety in rugged environments. For maximized cargo capacity, a custom heavy-duty roof rack and a rear hatch rack with modular attachment points for diverse equipment have been installed.
“Genesis takes immense pride in crafting luxury vehicles that are not only safe and exquisitely designed but also embody audacity, progressiveness, and Korean distinctiveness,” stated Luc Donckerwolke, Chief Creative Officer of Genesis. “The GV60 MIV Concept extends this brand ethos of comfort and care into uncharted territories.” The Genesis GV60 MIV Concept remains on display at the AMERON Davos Swiss Mountain Resort until the end of today, inviting further admiration and discussion about the future of rescue vehicles and the innovative direction of the Genesis vehicle brand.
