Red Bull RB17 Hypercar: A Track-Focused Masterpiece by Adrian Newey

Red Bull Advanced Technologies, the engineering powerhouse behind Oracle Red Bull Racing, has unleashed its first-ever in-house designed and manufactured hypercar: the Rb17 Hypercar. This groundbreaking two-seater is the brainchild of the legendary Adrian Newey, Chief Technical Officer of Oracle Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Advanced Technologies, promising an unparalleled on-track driving experience. Limited to just 50 units, the RB17 is set to be produced at the Red Bull Technology Campus in Milton Keynes, with production commencing in 2025.

Christian Horner, CEO of Oracle Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Advanced Technologies, highlights the significance of this launch: “The RB17 hypercar represents a monumental step for Red Bull Advanced Technologies. We are now fully equipped to create and manufacture production vehicles within our Red Bull Technology Campus. More importantly, the RB17 marks the first opportunity for enthusiasts and collectors to own a car bearing the prestigious Red Bull brand.”

Adrian Newey himself emphasizes the performance DNA of the RB17: “The RB17 hypercar is the culmination of our extensive knowledge in creating championship-winning Formula One cars. We’ve distilled this expertise into a package that delivers extreme performance levels in a two-seat track car. Driven by our relentless pursuit of performance, the RB17 pushes design and technical boundaries beyond anything previously accessible to passionate enthusiasts and discerning collectors.”

Powering this marvel is a bespoke hybrid engine, generating over 1,100bhp, ensuring breathtaking performance. The RB17’s design and name are directly inspired by Red Bull Racing’s formidable Formula One cars, reflecting its motorsport pedigree. Built around a robust carbon-composite tub, the RB17 hypercar incorporates the most sophisticated ground effect aerodynamics ever seen in a production vehicle. Detailed technical specifications of the RB17 will be revealed in due course.

Ownership of the RB17 hypercar is more than just acquiring a vehicle; it’s gaining exclusive access to the Red Bull Racing world. The fortunate 50 owners will enjoy close ties with the team, including access to state-of-the-art simulators, involvement in vehicle program development, and exclusive on-track training and driving experiences. Factory-direct support ensures that each RB17 hypercar will be meticulously maintained and serviced, tailored to the owner’s specific needs and usage patterns.

Since its inception in 2005, Red Bull Racing has consistently expanded its operations, culminating in its current 290-acre campus in Milton Keynes. Red Bull Advanced Technologies, established in 2014, leverages this exceptional engineering, design, technology, simulation, and production expertise across diverse industries. The RB17 project is not only a testament to Red Bull’s innovation but will also bolster the local economy by securing existing jobs and creating over 100 new positions in Milton Keynes, benefiting project partners and suppliers alike.
