Rolls Royce provides the critical power solutions that matter most to our diverse global customer base across a wide spectrum of naval applications.

We are proud to support navies around the world, with the US Navy as our largest and most prominent customer. Rolls Royce’s product and service offerings are featured on over 95% of the US Navy’s surface warfare fleet, demonstrating our trusted partnership. We deliver comprehensive fleet maintenance and field service support to an extensive range of naval platforms. This includes critical vessels such as Frigates, Destroyers, Aircraft Carriers, Amphibious ships, Combatants, Fleet Support and Auxiliary Ships, as well as the vital US Coast Guard Cutters.

Our commitment to leading technologies ensures that the products from Rolls Royce consistently meet the stringent military specification requirements of the US Navy. This is an achievement that distinguishes us from many other organizations in the industry. Looking towards the future, Rolls Royce is enthusiastically engaged in developing and delivering the next generation of propulsion systems for naval vessels, including pioneering solutions for unmanned autonomous ships.

In a significant move to enhance our capabilities, we announced a $7.7 million investment in our Walpole facility in 2019. This project is creating new manufacturing, repair, and test capabilities specifically to support critical US Navy programs. The completion of our new 24,000 square foot facility, anticipated in late 2020, marks a major expansion for Rolls-Royce’s flagship Naval Defence site. This expansion adds water jet maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) servicing to our already world-class portfolio of capabilities, further solidifying Rolls Royce’s leadership in naval propulsion.
