Subaru BRZ Series.Purple: A Striking New Limited Edition for 2025

Subaru has announced the arrival of the captivating 2025 BRZ Series.Purple, a special edition model that injects a bold splash of color and enhanced features into the popular sports coupe lineup. This limited-run edition, restricted to just 500 vehicles, is sure to turn heads with its unique aesthetics and performance upgrades, making its grand entrance on October 19th at Subiefest Texas in Dallas.

The Series.Purple marks the sixth distinctive color variant in the BRZ series, and it’s instantly recognizable thanks to its exclusive Galaxy Purple Pearl exterior. This vibrant new hue is perfectly complemented by newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels featuring a sophisticated satin silver finish. Adding to the sleek exterior, the rear decklid sports black badging, creating a subtle yet impactful contrast.

Stepping inside the Subaru Brz Series.Purple reveals a cabin meticulously crafted with black upholstery, accented by refined gray stitching. This exclusive stitching detail extends throughout the interior, adorning the leather-wrapped steering wheel, door panels, shifter boot, and parking brake boot, creating a cohesive and premium feel. The driver and passenger are embraced by performance-design front seats featuring Ultrasuede® seating surfaces and adjustable head restraints. These seats also showcase the exclusive gray stitching and grey leather bolsters, further enhancing the unique interior aesthetic. Subtle yet significant STI (Subaru Tecnica International) branding elements are incorporated, including the iconic STI logo displayed on the red starter button and the aluminum shifter knob, hinting at the performance enhancements beneath the surface. Adding to the driver-focused experience, the BRZ Series.Purple comes standard with an STI short throw shifter for more precise gear changes and a Flexible V-Bar to enhance chassis rigidity and handling.

Priced at an MSRP of $35,445, the Subaru BRZ Series.Purple maintains the exhilarating driving dynamics that the BRZ is known for. It’s powered by the responsive 2.4-liter naturally aspirated SUBARU BOXER® engine, delivering 228 horsepower. This engine is paired exclusively with a six-speed close-ratio manual transmission, catering to driving enthusiasts who prefer a hands-on, engaging driving experience. The BRZ Series.Purple, based on the Limited trim, is generously equipped with a comprehensive suite of standard features. This includes Subaru’s EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology, enhancing safety and peace of mind. Performance-oriented features like a TORSEN® limited-slip differential, Vehicle Stability Control with Track Mode and Sport Mode, and Incline Start Assist are also standard. For convenience and comfort, the car includes Keyless Access with Push-Button Start, dual-zone automatic climate control, LED headlights with automatic height adjustment, and a rear center console with USB-A ports and an auxiliary input jack. Variable intermittent windshield wipers with a speed-sensing mist feature and Welcome Lighting add to the thoughtful details.

Building upon the Limited trim, the Series.Purple edition further enhances its features with Michelin® Pilot® Sport 4 summer tires, providing exceptional grip and handling. Heated exterior power mirrors add convenience in colder climates. The audio experience is upgraded with a system that includes a 2-channel amplifier and two additional speakers for richer sound. Advanced safety and convenience features are also included, such as Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Keep Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Steering Responsive Headlights, and STARLINK® Safety and Security.

The current generation BRZ boasts a striking and aerodynamic design that is as functional as it is visually appealing. The overall aesthetic is modern, agile, and powerful, characterized by purposeful aerodynamic elements. The low and wide frontal area is defined by large, functional air intakes and a low-slung grille, topped by pronounced fender arches that accommodate the suspension components. Moving to the rear, the broad rear fenders and wide track flow seamlessly into the dual exhaust outlets, creating a planted and aggressive stance. This robust appearance is balanced by a narrow greenhouse and rear hatch that culminates in a dramatic upturned “ducktail” rear spoiler, adding a touch of classic sports car flair.

The Subaru BRZ Series.Purple will make its official debut at the 2024 Subiefest Texas, held at Lone Star Park in Dallas on October 19th. This event is the largest annual gathering for Subaru enthusiasts in Texas, attracting thousands of fans each year, providing the perfect stage for unveiling this special edition model. The entire 2025 BRZ lineup, including the Series.Purple, is scheduled to arrive at Subaru retailers across the nation in early 2025.
