In 2019, the passionate vision of Toyota’s Chairman Akio Toyoda, also known as Master Driver Morizo, resurrected the Supra after a 17-year hiatus. Chairman Toyoda’s words at the launch resonated deeply with fans: “Supra is like an old friend… I secretly wanted to make it happen.” He emphasized the new GR Supra’s Nürburgring development, highlighting its fun-to-drive nature and enhanced capabilities. Since its revival, the current Supra generation has seen continuous improvement with upgrades in 2020 and 2022.
The latest enhancements to the Supra are focused on creating a more connected and exhilarating driving experience, whether navigating city streets or challenging winding roads and race circuits. These upgrades include improved braking performance for enhanced safety, a stiffer chassis and body for sharper handling, refined suspension and chassis tuning, and optimized aerodynamics.
To express gratitude to the global Supra fanbase and acknowledge the model’s success in motorsports—from GT racing to drifting and NASCAR—Toyota GAZOO Racing (TGR) has announced the Supra “A90 Final Edition”. This limited, special edition serves as the ultimate expression of the current generation Supra. The “Supra Final Edition” boasts significant performance upgrades, including increased engine output and torque, enhanced braking and body rigidity, track-proven KW suspension systems favored in racing, and high-grip tires. This culminates in a uniquely tuned, high-performance, and high-specification model that represents the pinnacle of the Supra’s evolutionary journey.
