Ticket Details and Event Highlights from Taos 2024

Your ticket purchase of $275 provided entry to all La Luz de Taos 2024 events and included a set of ballots for participation in the art sale. Attendees had the option to purchase multiple tickets to increase their chances in the draw and secret bid sales.

Each ticket offered a comprehensive experience, including:

  • Art Sale Ballots: One full set of draw sale and secret-bid ballots, providing opportunities to acquire coveted artworks.
  • Friday Events at Couse-Sharp Historic Site:
    • Historic Site Open House: Docents were stationed throughout the Couse-Sharp Historic Site to provide insightful interpretations in each room from 4-5 pm.
    • La Luz de Taos Exhibition Closing Reception (5-7 pm):
      • Sale art preview, offering a first look at the diverse collection.
      • Hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer, and mezcal tasting, creating a delightful culinary experience.
      • Live music and dancing with the Chris Morel Band, adding a festive atmosphere to the evening.
  • Saturday Lecture at Harwood Museum of Art:
    • Dr. Marie Watkins presented a lecture on TSA member Julius Rolshoven from 10-11 am. Please note that capacity for this popular lecture was reached prior to the event.
  • Saturday Gala at El Monte Sagrado Resort (5-9 pm):
    • Draw sale and secret bid sale for exhibition art, the centerpiece of the art acquisition opportunities.
    • Trunk sale of select wearable art, expanding the artistic offerings beyond traditional mediums.
    • An array of light plates, wine, and beer were served, with a cash bar available for additional beverage selections.
    • Live music and dancing with Taos Road Trip, ensuring a memorable and celebratory gala evening.
